Fly Montserrat Issues Statement on Shortage of Aviation Fuel and its Operations

FlyMontserrat is conducting its current programme of flights as near to normal as possible. Yesterday all passengers booked with us flew, albeit a couple went half an hour late.

The delays are due to there being no Avgas Aviation Fuel available at Antigua Airport and no notice being given when it ran out on the 22nd July. We have put in place rehearsed alternative supplies from elsewhere – which is currently working well with small delays.

We are assessing the situation each day, and are not putting on extra flights until we know we can deliver for our existing passengers. Updates are put on the home page of our website – www.flymontserrat.com and availability can be checked and bookings made on line.

We know there are other passengers who want to leave island and we will help as soon as we know the supply will last until Antigua’s stores are replenished, which we are told will be Monday 29th July. If customers want to be put on our waitlist please email us on info@flymontserrat.com giving date, connecting details and weights.

Please can all passengers make sure that we have contact details in case of any changes to flight times. If anybody needs to change their flight please contact us by email as the phones are very busy. FlyMontserrat passengers are requested to check-in on time for their
