Montserrat to Attend 13th regional Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM) Conference in December
Montserrat is expected to be in attendance at the 13th regional Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM) conference later this year.
St. Kitts and Nevis have joined forces with the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency- CDEMA to host the (CDM) conference in December.
The announcement of the joint initiative was made at the CDEMA Annual Hurricane Season Press Conference which was hosted by The Federation’s Prime Minister, Dr. Terrance Drew and CDEMA Executive Director, Elizabeth Riley.
The CDEMA Executive Director outlined the agenda for the December 2-6 conference, themed, ‘The Road to Resilience: Checkpoint 24 – Levelling Up for a Dynamic Future.’
Dr Drew says collective strength and preparedness will be the greatest asset for the Caribbean, including Montserrat, during the Atlantic Hurricane season.
