Five-Member Delegation to Attend PAWI Leadership Empowerment Summit in Florida
Pastor of the Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church here, Reverend Tony Allen, will lead a five-member delegation to the inaugural Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies (PAWI) Leadership Empowerment Summit in Fort Lauderdale, Florida June 3-7, 2024.
The other members of the delegation, which is scheduled to leave this weekend are Reverend Bethan Murrain, Minister Claudette Weekes, Teresena Fergus and Cheverlyn Williams-Kirnon.
Under the theme “the Upper Room Experience: His Presence, His Purpose, His Power” General Bishop of the PAWI Fellowship, Reverend Sonny Williams, emphasizes that the Summit is truly an anticipated time of refreshing and renewal.
He adds that when one considers the prevailing global dynamics, ministry and family challenges and one’s own fragility, this Summit, could not have been better timed.
Bishop Williams states that after Jesus himself learnt of the sudden and brutal death of His cousin, John the Baptist, he invited His disciples to “Come with Him” to a quiet place and get some rest.
He outlines that like Jesus, the invitation is for participants to come away and be restored and empowered.
The Summit will have presentations from main speaker Reverend Sayeed Steve Mohammed of Trinidad and Tobago, devotional and nightly speaker, Dr Michael Browne of the United States, Reverend Griffin Daniel of Dominica and Reverend Kwame Clarke of Trinidad and Tobago.
