Government of Montserrat Widens Search for Ferry Operator
Premier the Honourable Joseph Farrell says the government has widened the search for a ferry operator.
Addressing the matter in the Legislative Assembly he reported that an early market engagement exercise is ongoing.
The premier says the process is being spearheaded by a a committee put together with various stakeholders.
Mr. Farrell was speaking in Parliament on Tuesday.
Montserrat is currently without a ferry service. The last operator the V2V ferry operated between November 2023 and April 2024 between Montserrat and Antigua.
The Access Division, Office of the Premier, recently invited companies with the capacity to supply sea transport services during high season and beyond to express their interest.
