An international finance publication has listed Montserrat as one of the ideal destinations for tourists.

Yahoo Finance says the Emerald Isle is one of eight underrated Winter Getaways That Haven’t Been Overrun by Tourists.

Montserrat is ranked number five.

According to the publication, with no more than 20,000 or so visitors a year, Montserrat is easily the least-visited island in the Caribbean.

It is however predicting that Thanks to its gorgeous scenery, though, it’s only a matter of time before the island becomes as tourist-heavy as the rest of the Caribbean.

Montserrat is most famous for the Soufrière Hills, that has been active since 1995a volcano with multiple domes.

According to the influential publication while the volcano caused mass devastation when it erupted, it is the reason for Montserrat’s lush landscapes and fertile soil.

It goes on to highlight Montserrat’s friendliness and delicious food, concluding that so even or perhaps especially without the typical tourists around, tourist will be in good company.
