MCAP Administration Continues Push Towards Food Security

The MCAP Administration says it is moving full steam ahead with plans to secure the island’s food sovereignty.

It is reporting that Crop Farmers have received several varieties of seedlings through its distribution programmes in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

These include yam,plantain, pineapple, avocado, and dragon fruit.

Minister of Agriculture, the Honourable Crenston Buffonge, and his team at the Ministry of Agriculture will also distribute Potato seeds to farmers on island for the second year running.

This follows news that the ministry has secured 320 bags of potato seeds, herbicide and fertilizer to distribute to large scale producers.
