Governor Tucker Speaks on Ways to Decrease Migration of Montserratians to Other Countries
Montserrat’s Governor, her excellency Sarah Tucker believes inward investment and the development of the private sector would help stem the migration of Montserratians to other countries.
Retention of the population is widely viewed as a key strategy in Montserrat’s development plans.
However, lack of economic opportunities is believed to have forced many persons to migrate overseas, mainly to the United Kingdom.
Governor Tucker addressed the matter on the Breakfast Show on Friday.
