Montserrat’s Hidden Histories Project Officially Launched Wednesday
The Montserrat Hidden Histories’ Project was officially launched here Wednesday morning at the Montserrat National Trust (MNT) conference room in Salem.
The project, which is being executed by the United Kingdom Overseas Territories Conservation Forum is supported by a consortium led by the UK Centre for Hydrology and Ecology.
Focusing on human history and how this continues to influence biodiversity in the UK Overseas Territories, the project is specifically aimed at the Cayman Islands and Montserrat.
It explores how the movement of people and their cultural attitudes have transformed flora and fauna overs the years.
