Technical Studies for the New Port to Begin Shortly
The Geo Technical studies for the new port development project are expected to begin in a matter of weeks.
That’s according to Richard Starky, Director of Meridian Construction Company Limited, the company who won the contract to construct the port facility.
Speaking to ZJB News on Tuesday, he explained that the rig with the testing equipment had arrived in Antigua and would be in Montserrat next week.
He said shortly after the equipment arrives on island,the Geo Technical investigation will begin which will feed into the design of the port.

The BVI-based company won the contract to build the port valued at more than ninety million Eastern Caribbean dollars for the design and construction of the Port Facility in Little Bay.
