The Government of Montserrat Predicts Favourable Economic Growth for the Upcoming Financial Year
The Government of Montserrat is projecting a 4-5% growth in economic activity for the upcoming financial year.
Premier, the Honourable Joseph Farrell, made the projection in his presentation of the 2022/23 $194.03m budget in the legislative assembly on Monday.
Premier Farrell attributes the expected economic growth to the construction, transport, communication and public administration sectors.
Premier Farrell also anticipates growth in the Hotels and Restaurant, and Transport and Storage sectors.
Montserrat’s leader of government business also notes that a 2.75% growth is expected for the agriculture sector.
