No Restrictions on Poultry and Poultry Products from USA
Montserrat will not place restrictions on the importation of poultry and poultry products from the United States of America at this time.
That’s the word from Chief Veterinary Officer within the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr Selvyn Maloney.
There is a general concern in the region as it relates attaining poultry, and poultry products from the US due to an outbreak of a new strain of highly pathogenic Avian Influenza virus, commonly referred to as “bird flu”.
In an interview with ZJB news, Dr Maloney explains the reasons the Ministry of Agriculture has opted not to implement the ban.
