A Call for a Simplification of the Way the Public Sector Works on Montserrat
As the debate surrounding public sector reform continues, Montserrat’s outgoing governor is calling for a simplification of the way the sector works.
Governor, His Excellency Andrew Pearce says the primary objective is to improve accountability, transparency and resource management for efficient and effective delivery of quality services to the public.
He says that after 26 years of trying to reform the public service, the pathways to this end have not produced the deep-rooted and expected outcomes.
Governor Pearce however says he is satisfied that measures are now in place to see changes going forward.
