Opposition Member Backs Calls for Public Service Salary Increase
Opposition Member of Parliament Honourable Donaldson Romeo is backing calls by the Civil Service Association for a salary increase for public service.
Mr. Romeo, who served as Premier from 2014 to 2019, says government workers have not had a pay rise since April 1, 2017.
He says since that time, the cost of living has skyrocketed in Montserrat, fueled by high energy and food prices.

President of the MCSA, Nyota Mulcare says the Union has a purpose and it will definitely serve its purpose.
She highlights that it is critically important for the union to ensue that the membership has good working conditions, as well as good pay in the current market environment
