Montserrat’s Tourism Industry Given “The Green Light” Ahead of the October 1st Planned Reopening of the Island’s Borders
The Tourism Industry here is considered ‘service ready’ ahead of the October 1st reopening of the island’s borders.
On Monday, 146 participants joined Premier the Honourable Joseph Farrell, Government officials and members of the Tourism Division at the Montserrat Cultural Centre to celebrate their completion of the Montserrat Service Ready & Caribbean Safe, Supercharged training sessions.
The sessions ran from September 10th to the 17th and targeted accommodation, bar and restaurant owners, taxi operators, house keepers and other front line workers.
Premier Farrell in his remarks reminded stakeholders of the major role they will play in the success of the industry.
Premier Farrell expressed his satisfaction with the turnout at the sessions.

Chairperson of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation Karolin Troubetzkoy, who is based in St Lucia, sent well wishes to the participants encouraging them to utilize to the fullest the tips and tricks learned over the week.
