Government Of Montserrat Welcomes Construction of New FSC Building
Government officials have welcomed the construction of a new home for the Financial Services Commission.
Governor His Excellency Andrew Pearce, Premier the Honourable Joseph Farrell, along with senior government officials attended the ground-breaking ceremony for the
building in Little Bay.
The facility will also house the offices for the Auditor General the Financial Crimes and Analysis Unit.
Director of the FSC Dulcie James said if Montserrat wishes to build up its economy then it must have a sound financial sector.

Joseph Farrell also welcomed the FSC’s new building.
He hoped it would signal the start of a new way of doing business in Montserrat.

Chairman of the board Peter W. A. White says the project was a long time in coming.
He acknowledged the role played by past and present members of the board for being steadfast in pursuit of the project.
Mr. White also recognized the input of the Commissioner of Police, the architect ken Cassell and the project manager – Emanuel Galloway.
He said it was right that the FSC which regulates a number of financial institutions on Montserrat lead by example.
Mr. White, who heads the Montserrat Customs and revenue Service is hoping the construction of the FSC building will trigger other accommodation projects for the government of Montserrat.
