The Oral health of Children on Island Continues to Progress.
A local Dental Surgeon has estimated that the oral health of children on Montserrat continues to improve.
Dr. Coretta Fergus recently presented a research paper at a regional health conference, based on a 2006 study.
She said Montserrat’s had a score of 1.91, well below World Health Organization’s guidelines of 3.
Dr. Fergus says that since that time, the island’s score has improved further and explains what measures have been taken to make that happen.
Dr. Fergus’s paper was presented at the Caribbean Public Health Agency’s annual research conference, which was held on June 2nd.
