Government Ramps-Up Local Vaccination Drive
Montserrat’s leader of government business says there is now a major push for the resident population here to get vaccinated.
Speaking at a joint press conference with governor, His Excellency Andrew Peace Wednesday afternoon, Premier, the Honourable Joseph Farrell urged everyone to take their jabs of the vaccine.
Premier Farrell said that where there were uncertainties, there was now a glimmer of hope since the advent of the vaccine.
He is pinning the kick-start of the island’s economy and the full reopening of its borders on residents taking the vaccine.
Premier Farrell contends also that he is not sure that enough has been done locally to educate the public and promote the vaccination programme.
