Government of Montserrat Commits to Reducing Youth Unemployment Rate Here
The Government of Montserrat says it is committed to reducing youth unemployment in Montserrat.
Deputy Premier Dr. the honourable Samuel Joseph says active steps have already been taken to address the issue.
Among the measures were ICT summer schools and training in welding, plumbing and e-commerce.
He reports that the Ministry of Education Youth Affairs and Sports has also increased the number of persons benefiting under the youth HYPE programme.

Statistics from the Labour Force survey last September showed Montserrat had a youth unemployment rate of 20 per cent.
