Departure of RBC Would Not Adversely Affect Local Financial Sector Says Manager of BOM
Manager of the Bank of Montserrat Baldwin Taylor says the departure of the Royal Bank of Canada would not adversely affect the financial sector on Montserrat.
Speaking on the Hot Seat, which aired at 7PM on Wednesday he told host Vernaire Bass that RBC was the least competitive of the financial institutions on the island.
The Bank of Montserrat acquired the assets of the Canadian Bank last month, and Mr. Taylor says its business model made it difficult to operate here.
