Government of Montserrat to Take Closer Look at Investments on Island.
Investments in Montserrat would now be closely regulated.
The Legislative Assembly recently passed the Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission Agreement Bill.
The agreement was ratified in St. Kitts since February 2020.
Parliamentary Secretary Veronica Dorsette Hector says this would boost confidence among investors, while at the same time providing some level of protection.
