Minister of Agriculture Provides Update on Social Housing
Minister of Agriculture, Honourable Crenston Buffonge has sort to provide an update on the island’s social housing scheme.
Consultations were set to begin in January this year on two workstreams for the future development of local social housing.
Under the Capital Investment Programme for Resilient Economic Growth (CIPREG) Programme, the first consultation is an in-depth review of the current social housing system - a contract awarded to Campbell Tickell Ltd.
The second consultation provides a new design proposals for the next phase of the social housing development on island, mapped to the island’s specific context and needs, a contract awarded to Galloway’s Limited.
Minister Buffonge was speaking on the Government’s “View Point” radio programme where he revealed that the studies were still on track.
