Parliamentary Opposition Meets With the Financial Aid Mission of the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office
The Parliamentary Opposition has described as “very positive” a meeting with the Financial Aid Mission of the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office.
The meeting took place on Tuesday and was chaired by Governor His Excellency Andrew Pearce.
In attendance were the Honourable Claude Hogan, Honourable David Osborne, Honourable Donaldson Romeo and Leader of the Opposition Honourable Paul Lewis.
Mr Lewis reported that the meeting was called to discuss aid and other strategic steps in response to Montserrat’s COVID-19 situation.
Mr Lewis also revealed that the opposition and the representatives of the FCDO agreed on a number of actions to take forward with the Government of Montserrat.
