Education Sector Mourns the Loss of a Stalwart
The Faith based and Education Fraternities here were thrown into deep mourning Tuesday after news broke about the sudden passing of a stalwart.
Mrs Jais-Ann Patterson who was most recently appointed Vice Principal of the Montserrat Secondary School died Tuesday Morning which sent shockwaves across the community.
Mrs Patterson has left an indelible mark on the community here after she came to Montserrat several years ago.
A geography teacher who also speaks and teaches Spanish, Mrs Patterson has touched the lives of a number of students not only at the Montserrat Secondary School but across the entire community.
She is one of the founding members and Tutor of Dunamis Products and Services, a youth-led organization that offers young people on island an educational journey in key CXC subject areas to include Geography, Spanish, and Social studies.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Mrs Patterson, was a very talented singer and Director of the Church of God of Prophesy choir.
Mrs Patterson is survived by her husband and Director of the Public Works Department, Rawlson Patterson and their two sons.
