Government to Announce $2million Financial Support Package

A two million dollar financial package will be announced by the government on Tuesday to assist persons affected by the lockdown, now into its third week.

The details will be announced at a press conference, by Premier the Honourable Joseph Farrell.

The financial support is targeting the unemployed and others facing hardship from the restrictive measures, enforced by a recent outbreak of Covid 19 cases.

Governor His Excellency Andrew Pearce says this is government’s recognition of the difficulties persons here are facing at this time.

Governor Pearce also made mention of the efforts by local charity Basil and Friends, which is raising thousands of dollars for small businesses.
