New Governor of Montserrat Announced for March 2022

A new Governor has been named for Montserrat.

She is Sarah Georgina Tucker.

Mrs Tucker, who will take up her appointment during March 2022, is currently the FCDO’s Director of Strategy in British Virgin Island.

Previously she worked as FCDO Head of Cruise Repatriation from 2017 - 2020, FCO Director of Corporate Capability in 2016, FCO Deputy Commercial Director in 2011 to 2016 and Director of a Marketing firm, 2008 - 2011.

Mrs Tucker will succeed Governor Andrew Pearce.

She will be the island’s 3rd female Governor, with the first being Deborah Barnes Jones in 2004-2007 who was followed by Elizabeth Carriere in 2015-2018.
