A Pledge by the Latest Financial Aid Mission to Lobby Hard for Continued Funding for Montserrat’s Survival
The Head of the Overseas Territories Department at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (OTD/FCDO) says they are armed with enough information to make a strong case for continued funding for Montserrat amid proposed cuts in the United Kingdom.
Adam Pile said his recent Financial Aid Mission (FAM) team was able to get a feel of the hardships residents continue to endure, and pledged to lobby on Montserrat’s behalf.
He says he is satisfied that the needs of Montserrat have been sufficiently articulated during their discussions with the government, senior government officials, opposition members, Non-governmental organizations, businesses and faith-based organizations.
