Call for Senior Government Officials to Collaborate Fully with Auditing of Government Accounts
Senior government officials are being encouraged to cooperate fully with external audits.
The call has come from Acting Auditor General Marsha Meade.
Ms. Meade, who was a guest on the Speaker’s Chair on Wednesday, says auditing government accounts is an important function mandated by the Montserrat Constitutional Order 2010.
She says although some persons maybe uncomfortable with the process, it is important that they provide information in an open and transparent way.
