Additional Funding Sought from Her Majesty’s Government to Aid with the Port Development Project Here
Deputy Premier, Dr. the Honourable Samuel Joseph says discussions are ongoing with the British Government on additional financing for the port development project.
75.3 million dollars were allocated by the United Kingdom for the project through the Caribbean Development Bank.
Responding to questions in the Legislative Assembly Dr. Joseph indicated that the available funding is not enough to complete the project.
He also confirmed that the cost of the two bids received were higher than the budgeted amount.
