Montserrat Chevening Scholar Discusses Climate Change With Prince William
Hon. Premier is pleased to announce that with the assistance of Montserrat UK representative, Mrs. Janice Panton Chevening Scholarship recipient, Tivohnn Howe, who is currently pursuing a doctorate in Volcanology and Geological Hazards, was able to be a part of the delegation attending the closing reception for the Joint Ministerial Council held for all Joint Ministerial Council delegations.
With the assistance of Montserrat UK representative, Mrs. Janice Panton, Ms. Howe was at short notice able to join with a group of students and also be part of Montserrat delegation at the closing reception held at the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office.. FCDO Grand Locarno Room.
The main feature at that event was an address by His Royal Highness Prince William Duke of Cambridge, who spoke on matters relating to climate change and the role British Overseas Territories (BOTs) play “on the front line”.
Prince William called for pressure to be kept up on world leaders to combat climate change as he addressed delegates from 14 BOTs gathered at the Foreign Office in London.
