Deadline Extended for Unclaimed Lands Application on Montserrat
Individuals on Montserrat have another 9 years to register unclaimed lands.
Registrar of Lands Shelly Isles says a recent amendment to the Crown Title Act has extended the deadline to December 31, 2030.
Persons who have strong claims to land, such as taxes can make a claim under the law.
Isles says most claims are made under Registered Land Act but the Crown Title Act also give persons the opportunity to regularize claims.
