Construction Work on the New Air Traffic control Tower at the John A Osborne Airport in Gerald's to Start in Earnest Mid-Next Week
Earthworks signaling a start of construction on the new Air Traffic Control Tower Project are expected to start as early as mid next week.
Confirmation has come from a key member of the Galloway Group, the contractors for the project.
This comes mere moments after the turning of the sud by the Minister for Works, Dr., the Honourable Samuel Joseph, Emmanuel Galloway and his son Adrian Galloway of the Galloway Group, at the John A. Osborne airport compound Tuesday afternoon.
In providing a background to the tower project, Director of Public Works, Rawlson Patterson underscored the importance of the milestone event in Montserrat’s development.
Meantime, Dr, the Honourable Samuel Joseph emphasizes that the construction of the new control tower in 2021 signifies that the government has started its quest to rebuild Montserrat.

The project is expected to be of a six-month duration.
The project is funded by The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and European Development Fund (EDF) 11.
