Over 60 Students Benefit From Rotaract's Back-to-School Drive
Over sixty students have benefitted from the Rotaract Club of Montserrat’s back-to-school drive.
This week, the club donated school supplies to the kindergarten classes of the three primary schools on island, namely St. Augustine, Brades and Lookout Primary Schools.
Each student received a writing book, crayons, pencils, erasers, a sharpener, a folder and a pencil case, while the teachers were gifted with a number and alphabet apparatus for their class as well as writing essentials.
President of the Club Shaqueilla Samuel says the distribution exercise, was timely, given that the new academic year commenced earlier this month.
Samuel said this project is also in line with ‘Basic Education and Literacy Month’ for the Rotaract Club.
