Cuban Medical Personnel To Cost Government Less Than the Estimated 1.4 Million Dollars
The Minister with responsibility for health has been explaining the roles to be undertaken by the Cuban medical team, during their stay on island.
Minister of Health, Honourable Charles Kirnon was responding to a question posed by the leader of the parliamentary opposition, Honourable Paul Lewis, in this regard, during Tuesday’s sitting of the Legislative Assembly.
Minister Kirnon also outlined the composition of the contingent and their placements based on specialties
Minister Kirnon says the overall budget associated with the Cubans amounts to $1, 072, 12 covering staff costs, airfares, accommodation, meals and ground transport.
The Health minister said the initial $1.4 million amount was only an estimate.
