Attorney Calls For Legal Aid for Persons Who Cannot Afford
The issue of legal aid for persons who cannot afford it has come to the fore once again.
This time, veteran attorney David S Brandt is calling for parity where legal aid is concerned.
He raised what he labels “an unfair advantage” a matter involving Joseph Stewart, who is alleged to be financially well off, benefiting from such assistance.
Mr. Brandt claims that there are several young men who are incarcerated currently at Her Majesty’s Prison and who cannot afford legal representation and should receive the same assistance
Meantime, ZJB News contacted the Attorney General for a comment and was told that she was not in a position to comment on the matter.
