Margaret Elizabeth Lewis Reaches Coveted Landmark
A coveted landmark in her journeyed lifetime !
Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Lewis, also know to many as “Mom” or “miss Peggy” celebrated her 100th birthday on Thursday December 17th.
She received the customary birthday card from Her Majesty the Queen and celebrated the moment at the Margetson Memorial Home in St. John’s
Mrs Lewis, who lived in Delvin’s before moving further north with the onset of the volcanic crisis, spent some time at the Golden years home before joining residents at the Margetson Memorial Home for the elderly.
Close relatives both here and overseas, plus friends and well-wishers, including Premier the Honourable Joseph Farrell and Deputy governor, Honourable Lyndel Simpson attended the celebration.
