Heartfelt Tributes for One of Montserrat’s Most Beloved Educators
Heartfelt tributes were in abundance on Sunday at the funeral service of beloved educator and church elder, Verna West.
The body of Ms. West was laid to rest in the church yard of the New Carmel Seventh-day Adventist church in Salem after she was memorialized in many tributes by former colleagues, church family and close relatives.
The service was attended by several prominent individuals, including Premier, the Hon. Joseph Farrell.
Elder, Clarence Greaves, said the death of Ms. West, who passed away on Nov 20th, has left a void within the Adventist church.

Ms. West served as a teacher and Chief Training Officer and would have impacted the lives of many persons on the island.
