Businesses Now Have a Handbook to Guide their Decision Making
Premier the Honourable Joseph Farrell has welcomed the launch of a Business Registration and Compliance Handbook.
The handbook was published by the Trade and Business Services Unit, provides a guide for potential and unregistered business owners, through the process of business registration.
It also outlines a step-by-step process for what businesses need to do to ensure compliance with various Government and Statutory bodies.
Speaking at the launch at the Montserrat Cultural Centre Wednesday, Premier Farrell referred to the 2021 budget speech that pointed to the provision of essential information.
Premier Farrell said this is critical when it comes to business decision-making, and in particular where to go and who to talk to.
He also said having this information would significantly reduce the hassle associated with doing business in Montserrat.
Premier Farrell said it is the intention of his government to continue to support and develop the businesses and the overall economy of Montserrat.
He declared that the handbook is the first step towards the development of a new Doing Business in Montserrat Guide that has been the focus for some time.
Such a guide will be for use by potential and established business owners on island.
The first Doing Business in Montserrat Guide was developed by the Montserrat Development Corporation…the MDC.
