Britain to Provide Montserrat With COVID-19 Vaccine
The British government stands ready to provide support with COVID-19 vaccines, when clinical trials are completed.
This confirmation has come from Baroness Liz Sugg, Minister for the Overseas Territories at the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO).
She was responding to a question posed in the British Parliament, House of Commons last Friday, October 23rd.
In her response, Baroness Sugg stated that through the Vaccine Taskforce, the United Kingdom is procuring vaccines on behalf of the Crown Dependencies and the Overseas Territories.
She says the UK is also working with the Overseas Territories to ensure the smooth deployment of a COVID-19 vaccine, once a safe and effective one is available.
