RMPS to Establish Independent Police Commission & Professional Standards Unit
Commissioner Steve Foster says the Royal Montserrat Police Service is undertaking a full review of the Police Act.
He says this is to address the terms and conditions of the service, police powers, discipline and grievance procedures.
He made the announcement while addressing Police Community Support Officers at their graduation ceremony.
Commissioner Foster also announced that an Independent Police Complaints Commission and a Professional Standards Unit will be established.
