MAC Appoints Vernaire Bass as Head of Planning & Production

The Montserrat Arts Council (MAC) now boasts a new Head of Planning and Production. MAC reveals the appointment of Vernaire Bass to the senior role.

Vernaire is a recent returnee to Montserrat and brings to the position more than 10 years of experience as a project manager and business strategist.

As Head of Planning and Production, Bass is expected to lead logistics and planning of all MAC programmes, including festivals and cultural events.

Director of the Arts Council Kenneth Silcott notes that Bass’ appointment comes at an idle time, as it is important for the structure at MAC to be robust as the island approaches the end of year festival.

Bass joins the team as of September 6, 2019.  Bass acquired a Bachelor of Arts with honours in Business and Business Law at the London Metropolitan University in 2009.

Since leaving university, Vernaire has worked for large U.K. organisations including the Royal College of Physicians, the Ministry of Defense, Capita PLC, Birmingham City Council, and most recently for the Ministry of Health and Social Services in Montserrat.
