Montserrat Football Association Owes More $300,000 in Taxes

The Montserrat Football Association Incorporated appeared before Chief Magistrate Vashti Shatoor on a matter of failing to pay over in excess of EC$300,000 dollars in income tax payments to the Inland Revenue Department of the Montserrat Customs and Revenue Service.

The amount owing spans the period 2014 to 2018.

Attorney Fitzroy Buffonge is representing the Montserrat Football Association Incorporated, with the Director of Public Prosecutions Oris Sullivan appearing for the Comptroller of the Inland Revenue Department.

The Matter has been adjourned to August 8th.

President of the Montserrat Football for the second time failed to show up in court.

The court has advised that he must show up for the August 8th sitting.
