Governor Andrew Pearce Calls for Complete Ban on Singe Use Plastics

His Excellency Governor Andrew Pearce has made a plea for action to end the use of single use plastics.

He is concerned about climate change and its effect on the environment.

Governor Pearce says some action has already been taken but additional steps are necessary to eliminate the use of single use plastics.

Governor Pearce was speaking at a news conference with chairman of the UK Overseas Territories Conservation, Dr Mike Pienkowski, who is on island to discussing joint conservation projects.

The visit includes meetings with Governor Andrew Pearce and participants in the National Trust Adopt a Home for Wildlife’ project.
