UPDATED: MS Osborne Celebrates 80 Years

MS Osborne Ltd is celebrating its 80th anniversary as the longest serving family owned business on Montserrat.

The company was founded in 1938 by Michael Simmons Osborne specializing in the importation of grocery items, dried goods, building materials and cement.

Today, the company is a leader in wholesale distribution on island and employs thirty persons – six of whom have worked for more than 35 years and nine others for more than 10.

Speaking during a rebranding ceremony at the company’s headquarters in Brades, The Honourable Premier Donaldson Romeo recognized MS Osborne for its contribution to the local economy for the past 8 decades:

The company used the 80th anniversary observance to rebrand.

The company’s new slogan is now “your first and best choice”

Chairman of the Board of Directors Derek Osborne gave his assurance that the company would remain a Montserrat owned family business.
