Four Montserratians Picked for the Leeward Islands U19 Cricket Team
Four Montserratians have been selected on the Leeward Islands Under cricket team.
Director of Cricket Operations at the LICB announced on Monday that batsman Zawandi White will captain the team which will take part in the Cricket West Indies Under 19 tournament in St. Vincent.
White, who is a batting all rounder, is joined on the team by wicketkeeper batsman Joshua Grant, fastbowler Jemuel Cabey and allrounder Stevel Rodney.
All four of the players performed outstandingly during the just concluded LICB Under 19 tournament in Montserrat recently.
The other members of the squad are Elroy Francis – Antigua, Mikyle Louis – St. Kitts, Anderson Armadan – Nevis, Uri Smith – Antigua, Paul Miller –Antigua, Demari Benter – Antigua, Antonio Fernandez (who played for Montserrat in the tournament) – St. Maarten, Kian Pemberton – Nevis, Javier Spencer – Antigua, and Jelani Manner – Nevis.
The team will be coached by Terry Adams of Anguilla and managed by Pernel Joseph from Antigua.
