Montserratian Early Childhood Specialist Designs UWI B.Ed Programme
The University of the West Indies (UWI) Cave Hill Campus will from September 2018 introduce new Undergraduate Degree Programme in Early Childhood Education that has been designed by a Montserratian.
The Bachelors of Education in Early Childhood Care and Education Programme was created by Early Childhood Education Specialist and UWI Lecture Dr. Sheron Burns.
The programme leads to a Bachelor’s Degree in Education for persons interested in caring for and teaching children from birth to approximately eight years.
Dr. Burns explains the development process from concept to approval.
The Early Childhood Education Specialist explains how the programme differs from the ones presently offered at the institution.
Dr. Burns says the programme targets caregivers, nurses, nursery, pre-primary and primary school teachers who care for and education children up to years.
