Local Sexual Offences Register to Be Rolled Out

A local sexual offences register is to be set up in Montserrat later this year or early 2019.

The announcement was made by Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Oris Sullivan at a Consultation on Gender Violence and Moving Forward to Gender Justice, Tuesday May 1, 2018.

The Honourable Minister with responsibility for Social Services, Delmaude Ryan said she is in support of the sexual offences register, as Montserrat is already a signatory to a Memorandum of Understanding with other Overseas Territories that calls for such a list.
