Conditions Attached to EDF 11 Funds

The Honourable Premier Donaldson Romeo has affirmed that his government has to satisfy a number of conditions before it can draw down on the 18.4 million Euros approved under the 11th European Development Funds EDF 11.

The 11th EDF, signed off on in February will support infrastructure development, advance the islands renewable energy thrust, enhance Montserrat’s tourism offering and improve the local business environment.

Speaking on the first episode of the Government Information Unit’s Programme Government in Focus Radio Programme, Premier Romeo suggested that the approval and execution of the Economic Growth Strategy is one of three conditions that have to be met before the funds are released.
