Nine to Battle for Soca Monarch Crown

Nine soca artistes will battle for supremacy in the 2018 Soca Monarch Competition next week.

The competitors will lock horns on Wednesday December 26th at Festival Village.

The competition this year, will see 2 segments - Groovy and Power, and will carry prize money of over 16, 000 dollars.

Ke-Shawn Thornhill and Darius Lewis are the Organizers of this year’s event.

The Organizers say, this year’s show features a number of new aspects in an attempt to revive the competition.

The Reigning Groovy and Jumpy Monarch Veron “Vedz” Duberry, would not be defending his crown.
