Premier Meade Outlines Strategic Investments in 2026/27 Budget

The 2026/27 budgetary package continues to reflect the government’s commitment to the strengthening of fiscal sustainability while ensuring the effective delivery of public services.

So says Premier and minister for finance and economic development Rueben T. Meade, who presented a $345.93 million budget in parliament on Monday.

He stated that to compliment the package, the capital budget is directed towards financing critical infrastructure, asset development, and strategic investment that support long-term economic growth and national resilience.

The Montserrat leader of government business emphasized that together, these allocations ensure that government not only meet its immediate obligations, but also advances key development priorities for the future.
