New report Calls for Rate Adjustments to Restore Profitability at Montserrat Utilities Limited
The tenuous financial position of Montserrat Utilities Limited MUL has come under close scrutiny.
The Office of the Auditor General, which recently carried out a performance audit of the company, is recommending a gradual adjustment to the rates of revenue.
It says to enable MUL to return to its long history of profitability, the Board should advocate, through Cabinet, for an urgent updating of the rates per unit charged to customers for water and for electricity services.
